Confession Is Not Self-Loathing: It’s the Doorway to Healing

At Covenant Presbyterian Church, we believe confession is not about shame. It’s about stepping into grace. Confession is believing in God’s mercy more than in our mistakes.
As one of our leaders recently put it, “Confession is the doorway to delight. It’s a way of restoring what is broken between people and God.”
In our prayer life, worship, and discipleship groups, we embrace the truth that God desires to heal, not to shame. We confess our sins not because we are unloved but because we are already deeply loved.
The Gospel frees us to admit our failures—because we know Jesus meets us there.
Need space to be honest with God? Come as you are this Sunday. There’s grace waiting for you.
